Are your silicone products BPA-free?
Yes, all our silicone products are BPA-free and safe for food contact.
Are your silicone kitchen utensils plastic-free and non-toxic?
Yes - our silicone kitchen utensils are plastic free and nontoxic.
Silicone is a synthetic polymer made from silica (sand), oxygen, carbon, and hydrogen.
It is not the same as plastic. Plastics are usually derived from petroleum-based polymers.
We also use ultra-high quality German Wacker brand food-grade silicone which is high heat resistant to 600F, is lab-tested for toxins, and does not contain cheap fillers.
Can I use your silicone products in the dishwasher?
Yes, all our silicone products are dishwasher safe.
Are your silicone utensils high heat resistant?
Yes, all our silicone products are tested to be heat resistant up to 600°F (315°C).
Only one exception:
The handles of our Flex and Flip Thin and Wide Spatulas are NOT made of silicone and so are not high-heat resistant.
Please be careful not to rest these handles on hot pans.
We are working on changing these handles to be high heat resistant silicone in future.
Are your silicone kitchen utensils safe for use in the microwave and oven?
No, we do not recommend putting our silicone kitchen utensils inside the microwave or oven!
The kitchen utensils have a stainless steel core so they are not microwave safe.
While the utensils can be used safely on hot pans directly out of a hot oven, we do not recommend cooking the utensils in the oven ; )
Are your silicone utensils safe to use on non-stick pans, ceramic pans, stainless steel and enamelled cast iron pans (like Le Crueset)?
Yes!
Our silicone kitchen utensils are super gentle and safe to use on all types of non-stick, ceramic, stainless steel and enamelled cast iron pans.
Help! My silicone utensils have stains or odors.
Our high-quality silicone products are designed to resist staining and odors.
However, after cooking strong smelling or strong color foods like curries, you might find some cooking odor or turmeric stains linger. In which case soak the utensils for an hour in a solution of 1:1 vinegar and warm water, then scrub with dish soap.
If your utensils arrive with a strong odor or discoloration, you may have a defective item. In which case, snap a pic and send to enquiries@starpackproducts.com
How should I clean and maintain my silicone kitchenware?
Simply wash with warm, soapy water or place in the dishwasher. Just know that dishwashers can be very harsh, so use the top rack only.
Are your products eco-friendly?
Yes, our silicone products are durable and reusable, reducing the need for single-use plastics, or the need to replace a cheaper plastic utensil after a short time.
Our silicone products should last years with proper care - we use our products in our own kitchen so we know how durable they are.
What is the silicone Pinch Test, and do your utensils pass?
The Pinch Test checks for pure silicone with no potentially toxic fillers, by bending the silicone to see whether any white patches show.
White patches can be indicative of cheaper fillers.
StarPack silicone passes this test, ensuring safety and purity.
Are your ice-cream containers airtight and leak-proof?
Yes, the lids are designed to be airtight and leak-proof. Ensure the lids are pushed right down onto the container before placing in the freezer.

While we continually seek cost effective manufacturing in the USA, currently we produce at the same top facility in China we have partnered with since 2013.
We maintain rigorous quality assurance practices to ensure product quality. Additionally, we offer a 100% no-risk guarantee on all items. If you are dissatisfied in any way, you can contact us for a replacement product or a full refund.
Do you get your products independently tested?
Yes, our products are tested annually by SGS- one of the world's largest independent testing facilities.
Certificates are available upon request.
Are your products FDA approved?
Yes, all of our silicone products meet FDA requirements, specifically as they relate to FDA 21 CFR177.2600 - which is the guideline most applicable to silicone kitchen products.
In addition, our products are approved for sale in Europe as they meet the standards for EU LFGB food grade silicone.

What countries do you ship to?
All USA-based orders are shipped directly from our US-based warehouse within 24 hours for your convenience and maximum efficiency.
Your product should arrive within 3 - 5 Business Days.
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer international (non-USA) orders.
